We joyfully serve young adults with multiple disabilities and their families.
JTTW’s vision is to establish and eventually expand The Joy Learning Academy into International Sister City Program . The Academy is specifically designed to continue the education, skill training, and learning experiences of young adults with multiple disabilities. It provides a program that engages the body, mind, and spirit in a joyful, loving, and supportive community. This vision will support families and mutually promote awareness between Joys To The World, Inc., and the surrounding community.
APPLICANTS for The Joy Learning Academy
must have been diagnosed with multiple disabilities.
must be 18 years or older and no longer eligible for high school.
must provide a copy of most current school IEP.
should not have a history of exhibiting harmful or disruptive behavior to self, staff, volunteers or other clients.
won’t be invited to attend if the client’s needs exceed the capability of The Joy Learning Academy’s programs and staffing.

840 W. 81st Street Tulsa, OK 74105
HOURS OF OPERATION: We are open Mondays through Fridays from 8 AM to 4 PM. There is before/aftercare with arrangements.
COST OF THE PROGRAM: We have trained and qualified staff, with a low adult-student ratio. Thus, the cost is $8.25 per hour. Tuition is private pay. Private pay means tuition is the responsibility of each student and their family. To help compensate for cost a student may use DDSD waivers, and/or apply for Joys To The World scholarships when available.
*Full Time is when the student pays for and receives up to 40 hours per week, with monthly payments of $1392
*Part-time is when the student pays for 20 hours per week, with monthly payments of
$696. The student may attend up to 20 hours per week according to their pre-arranged weekly schedule.
BASIC FOOD AND MEALS: Students may eat breakfast, lunch, and snacks at The Academy. They will need to bring their own individually prepared food on a daily basis.
SERVICES AND PROGRAMS: The Joy Learning Academy’s services are varied and cover a wide range of individual needs. Every day begins with greetings, breakfast, and personal hygiene. Mornings will be geared toward academics like math, science, and reading. We will stretch our muscles during chair aerobics, Joy Chi, and make time to work with tactile and sensory manipulatives. The afternoons are structured around individual interests through learning centers, group games, and lots of music. Yes, we will dance and sing to music. Students will be able to choose electives such as Bible lessons, crafts, animal care, cooking, and seasonal activities. We will end each day with family updates.
